Garrison Starr

Garrison Starr cracks me up. She just does. Two Southern refugees, we circled around each other in Los Angeles in the mid-90s and finally connected 10 years later in Nashville. From that point on, we were insta-buddies. Part of what brought us together – in addition to multiple mutual acquaintances – was her contribution to Songs for a Broken Heart. I\’m just glad to know her.
G. Starr\’s latest solo release, The Girl That Killed September, also won me over as a fan of her work which I hadn\’t necessarily been prior to that. It\’s a cool record, raw and gutsy. I\’m also looking very forward to her upcoming collaboration with Josh Joplin called Among the Oak and Ash.
